Students will study jazz dance techniques often seen in musical theater and in commercial / entertainment industries while improving coordination, strength, flexibility, and musicality. Class includes a warm-up with stretching, isolations, and strengthening exercises and then moves across the floor to work on turns, leaps, jumps, and runs. Enrollment in a second dance class is recommended. Like sports, progressing to an advanced level of dance training requires more than one day per week of guided practice.
