Scholarships

St Peter’s Community Arts Academy’s mission is to provide high-quality Arts for All.

Arts for All!

St Peter’s Community Arts Academy’s mission is to provide high-quality “Arts for All.” Thanks to the generosity of the Wyckoff Family Foundation, The Dave and Brenda Rickey Foundation, and the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester, and other private donors, SPCAA can provide financial aid scholarships to many students.

The scholarship cycle happens at the beginning of the academic year (July 1 – June 30). The school year scholarship application for the 2025-2026 Academic Year will open on August 1, 2025. All completed applications will be reviewed and processed, and we aim to make decisions within a couple of weeks of the submitted application. Families receive a Scholarship Award Letter by mail asking them to review the award and the terms so that they can proceed with confidence and enroll in lessons, classes and choirs. Once students are enrolled, the scholarship discount will be applied to the Family/Student Portal.

Scholarship Types

We have three scholarship types: General Financial Aid to offset the cost of tuition, Merit Aid for returning students/families that want to increase lesson time amounts or add classes, and Neighbors of Geneva Aid for students who live outside of Geneva City School District and want to start or continue their performing arts education.  If students start part way through the year, scholarship requests are considered half way through the year (in January) and/or case-by-case, as most scholarship funds have been allocated in August.

Families are asked to apply as soon as possible. The scholarship application cycle is generally open twice a year – August and January (mid-year). However, we encourage families who are new to the academy to apply anytime.

Please note:
If you are applying for financial aid you must include some supporting financial documentation (tax return is preferred, one month of all household paystubs will also be accepted). The first two pages of your last tax return should be emailed, mailed to, or dropped off at the Academy office within one week of the application submission.

Scholarship Application

Please note:
Families/Students must apply for Scholarships every year. If you are new to the Arts Academy, you must [also] have your Registration/Account Set up in our system for Fall 2025 enrollment. As stated above, after you receive your Scholarship Award Letter, you will enroll in classes/lessons through the Family/Student Portal, and then we will credit the scholarship amount to the Family/Student Account.

Scholarship at SPCAA

In this section, you will tell us the category of support you are requesting. There are three types of scholarships to choose from: Financial Aid, Merit Aid, and Neighbors of Geneva Aid.

Also, there is a narrative box, which will allow you to give us as much information as you would like the Scholarship Review Committee to know about why you are requesting support. The examples below can serve as a guide; your narrative may include them, but you are not limited to these examples.

  • You are requesting general financial aid. In this scenario, you might include information about your employment status, life transitions, financial limitations, or any hardships you wish to share that describe or explain your need for support.
  • You are requesting merit aid. In this scenario, you and your family are already involved at SPCAA. You might be outlining your relationship to SPCAA. For example, you may be, or have, a student(s) returning to SPCAA this year and adding classes or lessons, or time to lessons. Perhaps another sibling is starting their arts education journey.
  • You are requesting Neighbors of Geneva aid. In this scenario, your student(s) live outside of Geneva City School District. Your family might be completely new to SPCAA, or you might be a current student but would like to take advantage of this "Neighbors of Geneva" scholarship opportunity. You might tell us how you found out about us, and you might include your travel time to SPCAA to start or continue your performing arts education journey.

Types of Scholarships

  • Financial Aid – General assistance to offset tuition (please submit supporting financial documentation).
  • Merit Aid – For returning student(s) who need or want to increase lesson or class time.
