Now Hiring: SPCAA Managing Director

St. Peter’s Community Art’s Academy (SPCAA) is a not-for-profit organization that offers enrichment programs, lessons and instruction in music and dance for all ages.  It’s mission “Arts for All” is centered on the belief that people, especially children, should not be limited in their ability to explore the arts because of a lack of resources.  In furtherance of its mission, SPCAA offers scholarships to children by constantly seeking out donors and grant opportunities for funding.  Knowing that the participation in the arts contributes to a child’s sense of self-confidence and self-discipline, SPCAA has grown its programming to include instrument, voice and dance instruction in several different disciplines. Founded in 2005, SPCAA is a thriving organization with a dynamic future ahead.  The newly created position of MANAGING DIRECTOR offers an excellent opportunity to raise the organization to a new level and help shape the future of the Academy in a direction that ensures it meets its full potential.

  • Managing existing grants and seeking out further grant opportunities
  • Organizing fund-raisers including the Dinner with the Arts, the Academy’s largest fund-raiser
  • Creating all posters, programs and flyers for recitals, concerts and open houses

Candidates for the position should be self-motivated, energetic and above all, passionate about the arts.  Candidates should also have a strong attention to detail, excellent time-management skills and exceptional communication and customer service skills.  Prior office experience is preferred, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.  Candidates would be subject to a background check and would be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with the understanding that weekend and evening hours will be required at times.
