St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy (SPCAA) was honored to have two choristers participate in the New York chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Honor Choir in Albany on Sunday, August 14, 2022. 

Senior Community Choir members Teddy Backhaus and Eden Caravita traveled to Albany with SPCAA Musical Director Wendra Trowbridge.  Participants are chosen by their Director and must fill out an application. They are chosen by the ACDA based on what voice parts are needed. Trowbridge met with Backhaus and Caravita for several weeks to learn the music before the event. Students from Long Island to Buffalo participate in this event.
