Summer 2025 Camps & Workshops

We are offering music and dance experiences for beginners through experienced artists and for children and adults.

Creative Fun for All Ages

LESSONS AND CLASSES: We are happy to offer continued private lessons and weekly classes in most programs: Violin, Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Voice and The Ballet School (ballet, modern, and tap). Please check each program’s page for summer pricing of individual lessons/classes.

THE CAMP EXPERIENCE: We will also be offering several day camp experiences. These camps will have low fees as we encourage students to participate, and perhaps check out one of these instruments or styles of dance for the first time. All camps include some breaks or fun outdoor activities and a snack.

Summer Session will run for six weeks

Weekdays from July 7 - August 15, 2025.  Registration will be available mid-May 2025.

All of the following camp/workshop opportunities are only $99. Students may enroll in more than one camp assuming the camps are on different weeks. Any new student to SPCAA will get one week of camp for FREE!

Monday-Friday, 9 am – noon. Prepare yourself for the stage! Become familiar with basic steps commonly used in Musical Theater productions. This workshop will cover rudimentary steps in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz dance styles. No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing, pull long hair back, and don’t forget a water bottle.

Monday-Friday from 9 am – noon. Students must have had at least 3 years of piano lessons. Students will be paired up according to age and ability and will have two private duet lessons, piano ensemble class each day in our keyboard lab, and will also explore music through special music theory and aural skills classes. The camp will end with a recital on Friday July 11 at 11:00 am.

Monday-Friday from 9 am – noon. Explore various Modern Dance Techniques with current professional dancer and SPCAA Ballet School alum, Penn Burrall.  Students will be exposed to multiple Modern dance techniques, from traditional to current, as well as repertory from each technique. For students entering grades 7th through 12th.

Monday-Friday from 9 am – noon. Beginner dancers (with 0-2 years of experience) will learn the basics of Classical Ballet technique, as well as class etiquette and structure. Each day will consist of Stretch & Strengthen, Ballet class (barre, center, and across the floor), and activities to learn about the world of Classical Ballet. Black leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes are required. Hair should be neatly secured in a bun. Don’t forget a water bottle. For students ages 8 – 11 years old.

Monday-Friday, 9 am – noon. This fun morning camp will be an introduction to the cello and music theory through games and hands-on learning. For students entering 3rd – 6th grades.

Monday-Friday, 9 am – noon. Grab a ukulele and take a musical journey around the globe! Each class explores a different musical style and region while learning how to play the ukulele. Learn about reggae in Jamaica, flamenco in Spain, blues in America, and more! Participants will learn to pluck melodies, strum chords, and read tablature. Beginners welcome. For students entering 3rd – 6th grades.

Monday-Friday from 9 am – noon. This is the time to learn a few of those popular songs that you’ve always wanted to play. For students entering 7th grade through adult guitarists. Beginners welcome and encouraged to participate.

Monday-Friday from 9 am – noon. This is an introduction to learning the guitar and how to play a couple of songs individually and with others.. For students entering 3rd – 6th grades. Beginners welcome and encouraged to participate.

Join us for a two day Flow Arts Workshop. Master basic hula hooping skills and technique; learn to incorporate props into your dance and challenge your movement pathways with choreography. A Saturday and Sunday workshop open to ages 11 through adults.

Monday-Friday from 9 am – noon.Students will participate in a new dance style each day of this workshop! Every morning begins with a Ballet warm-up, followed by a guest teacher class. Styles may include African Dance, Contact Improvisation, Hip Hop, Pilates, and more! For students entering grades 7th through 12th.

Enrollment in camps and workshops will be available mid-May. If you haven’t set up your Registration/Account with our school, you’ll need to do so first.

Summer 2024 Camps & Workshops

We are offering music and dance experiences for beginners through experienced artists and for children and adults. All workshops/camps require a minimum of 4 students. All the camp/workshop selections are $150 per student, and most are half day/morning ( 9 am – 12 noon). Popular Guitar for Adults will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings.

*Please note that most camps/workshops include all necessary materials including instruments. In the case that the instructor will ask that you have your own instrument or supplies they will notify participants ahead of time. The Business Office can assist and direct students to the appropriate resource or business that supports SPCAA students with discounts.
