Founded in 1987, the Maryland State Boychoir is dedicated to preserving and fostering the boychoir tradition by providing talented boys with opportunities to sing while developing self-esteem, discipline, and character.
Performing repertoire ranging from sacred music and Gregorian chant to modern choral music and masterworks, the Tour Choir has enchanted audiences across the United States and abroad.

Abbey Ritter, Soprano

Abbey Ritter, soprano, recently graduated from Westminster Choir College (Lawrenceville, NJ) with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music education. For the past year, she has been teaching private voice and piano lessons in Bucks County, PA.
She is currently a voice student of Dr. Kathy Price, but previously studied with Dr. Rochelle Ellis at Westminster Choir College, and Wendra Trowbridge at St. Peter’s Arts Academy. Abbey began studying music at age 5, with piano lessons and choir at St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy. Abbey participated in two U.K. tours with the Senior Choir, in 2015 and 2019. She is extremely grateful for the opportunities afforded to her by the Arts Academy and is excited to be performing here to give back to the choir with this concert.
